Bio:

The DJ Slimshaky show is a weekly music show hosted by DJ Slimshaky. During the show DJ Slimshaky plays music (and music videos) from most genres and eras, from oldies to new releases and everything in between. Being the youngest DJ at BG Radio Network (BGRN), having grown up in the 2000s-2010s DJ Slimshaky often plays more ‘modern’ music from the 00s and up than most of the other DJies at BGRN. Artists you will hear played often on The DJ Slimshaky Show are Linkin Park, Coldplay, Elton John, Green Day and more. While the DJ Slimshaky Show does play a lot of modern-day music, DJ Slimshaky also tries to mix it up and play music from all the genres and eras. The show also features music video hour where DJ Slimshaky plays music videos from various genres and artists. DJ Slimshaky also accepts song requests from viewers and will play any requests received during the show with limited exceptions.

In addition to playing music, the DJ Slimshaky Show also features live viewer interactive games such as ‘Name That Tune’ and the ‘Trivia Question Of The Day’ segment where viewers can compete for bragging rights. The most notable of these is Name That Tune, where DJ Slimshaky plays about 10 to 15 seconds of several songs and viewers try to guess the song name and artist correctly for each song. Each song a player gets correctly awards up to 2 points (1 point for song name being correct and 1 point for the artist being correct) and the player with the most points wins. If the game ends in a tie DJ Slimshaky will either hold a tie-breaker round to determine the winner or let the tie stand and have multiple winners. The game is scored fairly and consistently using a custom-made software developed by DJ Slimshaky himself. After the game is scored and the results are finalized, they are entered into the ‘Name That Tune Standings’ spreadsheet where players can see how many games they have won or tied, how many points they have scored throughout the year, and who the top players are. The top player who has won or tied the most games at the end of the year is then crowned Name That Tune Champion! It is a lot a fun and something you definitely do not want to miss out on.
